Rubyait was an occasional band project, playing Middle Eastern music, mainly sung in Arabic and Farsi. Based in the Souks of Salford, the band was led by Gail Skelly on vocals and belly dance. On these recordings, made live at Salford Lads' Club, Aidan plays saz and bouzouki, with Jo Alampo on vocals, accordion, flute and ukelele, Nick Harris on bass, Ian Jackson on darbouka and percussion, and Rome Mohsabbir on percussion.
